Celebrate in the George Street townhouse where the ‘Ploughman Poet’ enjoyed the company of its well-heeled family.

Steeped in literary history with links to some of Scotland’s finest writers, The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen on Edinburgh’s George Street is set to pay a particularly pertinent tribute to Scotland’s much-loved bard.

To mark Robert Burns’ 260th birthday on 25 January 2019, they will be serving a four-course Burns supper with a menu full of seasonal, Scottish ingredients.

The celebration is particularly fitting, for the poet is believed to have spent time within the walls of their townhouse home with the Ferrier family who lived there in the 18th century. At the heart of the celebrations will be established and familiar features of a traditional Burns supper, including the time-honoured Address to the Haggis and a few wee drams! They have also got whisky expert Jamie Blackwood on hand to take you through each pairing.

The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen Burns supper menu will feature a four course supper, with vegetarian alternatives, that celebrate seasonal Scottish classics. Click here to view the menu.

The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen Burns supper is on sale for £47pp with the evening commencing at 7.30pm and concluding at 10.30pm.
